I grew up on a family farm in central Illinois. After attending the University of Illinois, I spent the next decade working in marketing for large equipment manufacturers – first Caterpillar and then AGCO. However, I was missing the direct connection to the farmer, so I shifted my career and went to work for John Deere dealerships, including as the VP of Sales for 21st Century Equipment in western Nebraska. It was there I was introduced to Salesforce. In 2016 I pivoted my career focus to working as a Salesforce consultant, earning 14 certifications and became a Certified Salesforce Architect. Using this foundation, I started Anvil App Works in 2017.
I have three children – Taylor, Andrew and Ellison, and one dog Freddie. In my free time I enjoy working on my classic cars – a 1994 Blazer and 1994 Corvette, making wine and hard cider and spending time with my family.
