Allis Chalmers RC Serial number 989, tires are like brand new, Hobby Math is when you pay for a ruinously expensive round of repairs, then immediately put a tractor up for sale with little hope of recouping your costs. My loss can be your gain with this 1939 Allis-Chalmers RC. It was professionally restored 20 years ago, then enjoyed extensive sheet metal work and repainting in 2014. To maintain the once a decade schedule, it just finished an almost year-long mechanical upgrade including head and shifter rebuild, new main bearings and piston rings, as well as magneto and wiring service. It now starts and runs as good as it looks. The RC is one of the rarer Allis models, with about 5,500 made, almost all of them in 1939 and 40. This one was ordered by a real cheapskate: it has no belt pulley, no PTO, no lights and it's a hand-cranker. The only accessory is the foot-operated mechanical lift. The bright spot is you’ll never need a trickle charger. Located in Washington IL.
