CASE 580C Case 580C backhoe with 6 1/2' loader bucket and 16" backhoe bucket. This little backhoe starts and runs as it should. Please note that we were not able to get the gearshift to shift into another gear - I'm guessing it is in 2nd gear. Owner used it on the feedlot so never worries with it. I don't know if the shifter is locked in the transmission or simply stuck from a lack of use and could be freed up - we don't know. In addition, the transmission lurched a little bit when we were driving it - not sure if it is simply low on fluid or if there is another issue. Owner states steering is very loose on this backhoe. Loader and backhoe both seem to operate as they should. Little four-cylinder diesel under the hood on this backhoe with a left hand forward/reverse lever for directional control in the cab. Loader has joystick control while backhoe has level controls for everything except the boom swing, which is foot operated.
